    The Certificate II in Retail is ideal if you are beginning your career in the retail industry and want to learn retail-specific skills such as how to operate retail equipment, how to interact with customers, and how to handle point-of-sale. This is an entry-level qualification for the retail sector and will create a firm foundation for your career as a retail professional. This Certificate is a pre-requisite for further retail qualifications including the Certificate III in Retail.

    Course Duration 9 months

    The Certificate III in Retail builds on your Certificate II in Retail qualification by giving you the skills to work in retail operations as a manager and/or supervisor. You will learn skills in team management, store safety and security, and how to build customer relationships. The career opportunities from the Certificate III in Retail are wide – it will prepare you for positions as diverse as sales assistant, second-in-charge (2IC), crew leader, shift manager, team leader, department manager, assistant manager, checkout supervisor and merchandise coordinator.

    Course Duration 12 months

    The Certificate IV in Retail builds on your Certificate III in Retail qualification and is designed to help you develop the first line management skills to manage a small retail or wholesale outlet, or a section, or department of a larger retail store or wholesale outlet. You’ll learn how to manage merchandise and store presentation, lead and manage people and provide a safe working environment. You’ll choose from a range of electives in management, inventory, merchandising and sales. Your learning will involve a combination of individual and team based learning strategies that include practical activities, industry case studies, role plays, simulations, projects and assignments.
